Gilbane is well-known in Connecticut for its work on a number of public and private building projects, including its current engagement as general contractor for the $147 million makeover of the state Office Building on Capitol Avenue, and construction of an adjoining parking garage.

Aside from Spot-r’s safety benefits, which can directly impact on insurance costs, Gilbane is looking at ways to integrate Spot-R with its project-controls system to automate daily work-hour reporting and other time and attendance recording, said Gilbane Chief Information Officer Jason Pelkey.
